Privacy & cookies
Cookies, without the mystery.
I like the edible kind too. Here’s what this site stores, what analytics does, and how to change your choice.

Your analytics choice
Your browser’s choice and the visit’s region determine whether analytics is on.
Cookie settingsWho runs this site
This is the personal portfolio of Ionut Adrian Ana. I go by Adrian Ana, and I’m based in Las Vegas, Nevada. This policy covers adrianana.com. For privacy questions, email adrian@adrianana.com.
Google Analytics
I use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people find and use this site. Analytics can measure page visits, session and engagement information, scrolling, public outbound-link clicks, and public file downloads. It is not used to serve ads.
Analytics may start by default for visits identified by the site’s hosting service as coming from the United States. It waits for permission elsewhere, when the location is unknown, or if the region check fails. A saved opt-out or a Global Privacy Control signal keeps analytics off in every region. Closing the cookie notice does not count as consent or change the setting.
When analytics is on, Google receives page and visit information, browser and device information, a cookie identifier, and your IP address as part of the connection. Page-view addresses sent by this integration exclude query strings and fragments. Public link and download events can include their destination addresses. I do not send email messages, form contents, or account credentials through this integration.
The site’s integration disables Google signals and advertising personalization. It sets analytics cookies to expire after 30 days without renewing that lifetime on every visit. Google’s account-level retention and data-sharing settings are managed separately. Turning analytics off stops future collection; it does not automatically delete historical reports.
Google may process analytics information outside your country. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google’s privacy policy.
Cookies & browser preferences
Display preferences are stored locally so the site can remember your theme and motion settings. These preferences work with analytics off. The site also stores your analytics choice and whether you dismissed the cookie notice during the current browser session.
| Purpose | Storage | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Display settings | Browser storage | Until changed or cleared |
| Analytics permission | Browser storage | Up to six months |
| Analytics opt-out | Browser storage | Until changed or cleared |
| Notice dismissal | Session storage | This browser session |
| Google Analytics, if enabled | _ga, _ga_<ID> | 30 days |
Open Cookie settings in the footer to turn analytics off or change your choice. Turning it off removes this site’s analytics cookies. It does not prevent you from using the site.
I honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) by keeping analytics off and remembering an opt-out. The older Do Not Track (DNT) setting does not automatically change the site’s analytics setting; you can use Cookie settings instead.
Hosting, email & external links
The hosting service processes your IP address and requested resources to deliver the site. Its logging and security settings are separate from Google Analytics. The regional analytics feature requires a country estimate from the site’s own hosting service; the browser does not infer it from your language or time zone.
Contact links open your email application or another website. If you email me, I receive your address and whatever you choose to send. I use that information to respond and keep correspondence while it remains relevant. You can ask me to delete it, subject to records I need to retain.
Social profiles are ordinary links, not embedded social-media feeds. Following a link takes you to a service with its own privacy policy.
Questions & privacy requests
Email adrian@adrianana.com if you want to ask about information I hold, request a correction or deletion, or discuss a privacy concern. Depending on where you live and the processing involved, you may also have rights to access information, restrict or object to processing, and complain to a data-protection authority.
I update this page and its date when the site’s practices change. If analytics expands to a new purpose, I’ll explain the change before asking for a new choice.
